v1.0 release
PDSnake » Devlog
I’m please to share that PDSnake is done! I’ve polished it up and tested it out and am happy enough with it to call it complete.
I’ve learned so much making this little version of Snake for Playdate, and I can’t wait to apply that knowledge to the next game.
Here’s a recording of gameplay from the 1.0 release:
You can see the refined UI, as well as the score and high-score while the game is paused.
My next project is another learning project. I’ll also be participating in PlayJam 7 next weekend.
I’ve got ambitions for some more original, bigger Playdate games. But one step at a time!

Cheers for the tweaks, this going to be one I go back to any time I’ve got a few minutes for a bit of high score chasing!
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next….
Thanks for your support with this little game! I appreciate it.
I’m working away at some technical learning that isn’t too interesting for players but I’d like to make a little dungeon crawler soon. And eventually a short JRPG inspired by Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy Legend. I’ll definitely develop those out in the open, that’s a lot of fun for me!
Your JRPG- inspire game sounds cool, I’ll look out for you posting about it :)
