Dungeon Crawler - Part 1 chapter published
Make Games for Playdate with Lua » Devlog

I just published an update to the book adding a new chapter: Dungeon Crawler - Part 1! It covers rendering maps from Tiled, collision detection, and talking to non-player characters.

I just published the update on Leanpub and itch.
Here’s the source code for the new chapter: https://github.com/brettchalupa/playdatebook/tree/main/c7-dungeonCrawler
The next chapter, Dungeon Crawler - Part 2, will cover exploring multiple levels and engaging enemies in combat. :crossed_swords: I took this week off from work to focus on writing the book, so I’m hoping to continue to make good progress. :writing_hand:
