Minimal Survivors was just the beginning, it evolved into RoboSpider: Reckoning

Minimal Survivors is actually just the first week of an experimental game jam I organized where each participant worked on the game for a week and handed it off to the next person. The final result is RoboSpider: Reckoning, a procedural dungeon crawler shooter. If you played Minimal Survivors, you’ll see its roots in the finished game, but RoboSpider: Reckoning evolved into its own game.

It was seriously so cool to watch the game evolve and change from week to week. Playing through it when it was finally done was a really satisfying experience. If you’re interested in organizing a little jam with the same approach, just go for it! The biggest piece of work was handing off the game each week and organizing who wanted to participate. But it was totally worth it!
